The West Java Provincial Government facilitated a business meeting between coffee and cocoa entrepreneurs from West Java and buyers from the Philippines in Bandung on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
The prospective buyers were also invited to directly visit coffee plantations and a chocolate factory in Bandung Regency.
West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman expressed hope that this business meeting would further open up export opportunities and strengthen Indonesia–Philippines relations, particularly in the agricultural product sector.
The Philippines is considered to remain a potential market for West Java products. Herman stated that improving export performance is being pursued, among other ways, through product diversification.
